place a screwdriver inside the spark plug boot and close to, but not touching, a ground. have someone crank the vehicle as u look for the spark. Best to do it at nighttime when its dark...its also a good way to find plug leaks. they also sell an inexpensive tester at the parts store that will do this also
check the pickup coil. that was the prob
Check the ignition circuit in the Storm. Start by checking the crank position sensor, then the coil pack to find the lack of spark.
If you have no spark, you would likely have a problem with the magnito (ignition).
Ignition Control Module.
It should. To better check, go to local parts store and check the Haines Manual...is should be for both Geo Metro and Geo Storm, just check that is bolts up the same.
Check the exhaust manifold.
Timing Belt.... Check all your belts.
There's one spark plug mounted on the exhaust manifold. You have to remove it, usually with a hammer and screwdriver. The just thread a new one in.
#1 is about 2 to 3 O'clock firing counter clockwise 1342.
i checked and found unplugged wires
Check the alternator.
Remove it an drop it into a pan of boiling water to see if it opens
