The short answer is, you don't. Just service it at the appropriate interval and look for leaks. On the GM 4T40E and 4T45E transmissions, there is no Transmission Fluid dipstick. GM is continually moving toward the "lifetime fill" with their transmissions, although the actual service interval for these models is 100,000 miles with the original Dexron III (using Dexron VI fluid supposedly doubles the service interval). Anyway, there is a red fill cap on the top of the transmission and a small check-bolt on the side of the transmission. The way to check the transmission fluid level is to open the fill cap, raise the whole car (make sure it's level, not just the front of the car), remove the check bolt. If ATF does not drip from the check bolt, the it's low. Fill through the fill cap until it drips from the check bolt. You have to take it in to a shop. I spent an Hour looking for a dipstick and it does not have one.
Check
You can't but your dealer can.
under the car is a check plug it is located on the drivers side on the transmission i square head plug start car open plug fluid should flow out of plug do not do not over tighten plug do not over tighten
NO it can not as there is a check valve located in the filler neck.
Check your transmission.
200 Chevy Malibu has a sealed system, so it does not have a dipstick to check the transmission fluid. If there are issues, one has to check the fluid while the car is running.
Assuming the Malibu has a V6 engine and an automatic transmission (not manual) Lift the hood. Look to the rear of the engine near the firewall. There should be a dipstick pointed towards the drivers side between the engine and firewall approximately in the middle of the car right to left..
The 1996 Chevy Camaro automatic transmission has a fluid capacity of 7.3 quarts. You can check the automatic transmission fluid level with the transmission dipstick.
Check your Automatic Transmission fluid level
AT can mean Automatic Transmission.
I have a 2000 Malibu and it does not have a tranny dipstick. You have to check fluid under car, there is a check hole on the trans. It's a pain in the butt.
