You hold the bike up straight after having it run for about 3 minutes and then look at the window on the right side about 6 inches below the fill plug. Make sure it is between the lines.

I ride a Suzuki M50 BLVD and their is no oil reset button. I do not know about the Suzuki C50 BLVD.
According to my 2005 Suzuki C50's Owner's Manual, you need to use a 10W40 oil with an API rating of SF or SG. For an oil AND filter change, you need 3.6qts (3400mL). For just an oil change, you'll need 3.2qts (3000mL).
There is no oil contained in the driveshaft housing of a C50. It is essentially "dry". However, there is fluid in the final drive that should be level with the bottom of the fill plug when the bike is upright. Do be aware that while there is no oil in the driveshaft, the splined ends of the internal driveshaft must be greased periodically which requires the removal of the final drive.
My Clymer maintenance book said to use SAE10-W40 weight oil or a lighter viscosity oil (10W30) in cool climates and a heavier viscosity oil (20W50)in warm or hot climates.
The Suzuki Volusia VL800 (Also the Boulevard C50) requires 3.0 L or 3.2 quarts if the filter is not replaced. If you replace the filter, it requires 3.4 L or 3.9 quarts. Check The Volusia Owners League for tons of great info about this bike http://volusiaowners.com
On the lower right side of ther motor there is a small oil window. Written below it is 3000 ml which means 3 litres. I belive that this is the oil capacity, but it is always best to call a dealer and ask. Steve D
