Your car is probably too new to still have a dipstick. If it does, it will be back near the firewall, close to the brake master cylinder.
If it doesn't, the fluid level is checked via the fill plug on the side of the transaxle. Take it out and feel for fluid (if none runs out right away) If your finger comes out with fluid on it, you're go to go. If not, it needs fluid.
