I am going to guess you have either the 4L20E, or 4L60E automatic trans. they both are sealed transmissions. 2005 was the last year they installed that style transmission in the cars only. It actually started in 1998, not 1995. when you change a CV axle and lose fluid, there is a red cap on top of the transmission to replace the lost fluid. In most cases you would only lose about a quart and no more. if you are changing the filter, it is 7 quarts of dextron VI. on both transmissions.
