The automatic transmission fluid is checked idling in neutral.
Depends on the make & year of the car. Also depends on whether or not there is a dipstick. If your car does have a dipstick for ATF, check on the dipstick itself for the letter N or P which indicates what gear the trany needs to be in for checking the fluid level. Make sure the engine is running & warm before checking & that the car is sitting on level ground. Check your owner's manual for the type of fluid needed & what gear the trany needs to be in when checking fluid level.
Drink them
i have a 2002 chevy avalanche1500 had transmission fluid changed about 3 months ago i just noticed a little slip and checked the trany fluid it is 2qts over can that hurt the trany and what type of fluid is required
No but you can use atf, trany fluid
Probably the trany cooler in the rad has let go. If this is the case then the coolant is in the trany also. check the trany for coolant and if it is you will need a trany very soon. I've tried flushing the trany when this has happened in the past and have yet to save a trany. Usually within 3-6 week the trany stops working.
could be a bad radiator i know it sounds odd but the the trany fluid is pumped through the radiator or u could just be leakin fluid check it out and check the radiator
You proble need a new Trany I would check you fluids ! Check all lines and plugs for the Trany.
drain the transmission fluid in the trany. than take the pan on the bottom of the trans off and the filter will be right there drain the transmission fluid in the trany. than take the pan on the bottom of the trans off and the filter will be right there drain the transmission fluid in the trany. than take the pan on the bottom of the trans off and the filter will be right there
5 speeds dont need trany fluid. lloll
on the side of the trany the passanger side there are two square that look like they could unscrew .both on the side of the trany, look for the one that's higher then the other unscrew with socket rench with no socket easyest way. now poor trany fluid until pours out of that hole you just unscrewed .if empty maybe five courts of mercron five trany fluid. pour throw shifter area take shift off and boot
Two plugs that a 3/8 ratchet fit into on trans lower for drain upper for fill, after draining fill until fluid flows out upper plug, run the engine and cycle gears and do it again. finally check level by pumping in more fluid till it runs out again and you are done. either go yo pennzoil and have them do it. or get a trany filter kit and drop the trany pan
