The fuel sending is located in an access panel under the carpet in the trunk. It is actually part of the fuel pump. Im not quite sure how to replace it but you can get one from a junkyard for 100$ with a 90 day warranty
in the gas tank
Mounted on top and inside the fuel tank.
You buy tools and install it!
It is part of the fuel pump module inside the fuel tank. I think the only answer is to replace the entire unit.
You got to change the fuel sending unit which involves dropping the fuel tank , aint really a bad job if you have a lift
There's no way to reset this. If it's out of range or doesn't work at all, check wiring going from fuel sending unit inside the gas tank up to main harness. The fuel sending unit may just be worn out and need to be replaced.
pass. side panel behind the glove box
I believe one fuse protects all the gauges. If only the fuel gauge stopped working I would suspect the sending unit in the fuel tank is at fault.
Well, it's retroactive, but you should have bought a Ford. Seriously, the only thing you can do is take it to a certified shop and have it replaced.
You can test your 1997 Oldsmobile 2.4 liter engine oil pressure sending unit with a diagnostic tester. The diagnostic tester is the most reliable way to make sure your sending unit is working properly.
