Depending on where you live and your lifestyle...a Maltese would be perfect if you live in an small home or in an appartment. A big dog, like a retreiver would be good if you lived by/at a lake or on a acreage. A Border Colie would be good if you lived on a farm. Just depending on your lifestyle and living environments. Do some research. Hope you find the dog of your dreams!!!
It depends on what type of dog you like and the reason why you want the dog. For example if you want a dog that doesn't require a lot of feeding or cleaning a toy dog would be the best bet because they are small dogs. A miniature Eskimo, a chihuahua, pug, or a Pomeranian are good toy Dog Breeds.
If you want a dog for playing with any dog for the most part is good. The most popular breeds for playing with are the Golden Retriever, the collie and the Australian Shepherd. A few good dogs bred for protection are the Rottweiler and the German Shepherd because they are often used for police protection as well.
Since there is no one best breed of dog and no breed is inherently better than another, it is important to choose the dog (and breed) that suits you best. There are many factors, including activity level, trainability, health issues, grooming issues, and size.
Links below will help you choose a breed that fits your lifestyle and personal preferences.
It depends on the breed of dog's behavior and what it is bred for. If you have a small backyard and a small house, and the dog you picked is bred for herding and is very hyper, it probably isn't the best choice. You also need to know how much it needs to eat and drink. Small dogs are usually very hyper, but that doesn't mean that a big dog can't be hyper too. Different dogs have different needs, so if you are planning on getting a dog, make sure you pick the right breed for you, and do research on whatever breed you pick. Good luck!
