you use carb. cleaner and a shop rag . take the air intake tube off the throttle body. open the butter fly and clean all the black cabon off. you want to be carefull not to spray to much carb spray into the intake. you will have hard time starting the car if you do. sray in and wipe out till it's clean

If you know where the Airbox is with the Air Filter in it ... follow that tube to the Vortec 4200 cover. The Air travels through the Airbox into the throttle body and youll see it after removing that Vortec 4200 cover and disconnecting the tube from it and youll see the butterfly valve of the throttle body
