You will need to heat up water in the liner. Add a cup or so of baking soda. Boil for a few minutes. Let it cool and soak for awhile. The beans should come loose easily. While this is the basic idea, let me give you a bit more. This is something my mother taught me 48 years ago when I was learning to cook, and I've used it successfully all this time: First pour in about 1 cup of baking soda, but also add 2 Tablespoons of whatever dishwashing liquid you normally use. Add the hottest tap water possible--not boiling--to the pan, to within about two inches of the top. Put the lid on, turn the roaster on to its highest temp, and let it go for at least one hour. Turn down to 250 after an hour, let it "cook" for 4-5 hours, turn off and let cool for several hours. When you empty the pan (CAREFULLY! it's still very warm!), nearly all the burned on stuff will come out, and you'll need to scrub only minimally. Works every time, every pan.
