First, put your hamster in it's hamster ball or a container so it's out of the way. Take all of the hamster toys out and set them aside for washing unless it's a wooden toy like a chew toy or a hideaway house that's made out of wood or sticks. Then, if you have a wire cage take the top off so theres only the bottom of the cage and the old bedding. Get a trash bag or an other bag and dump the bedding in. It's okay to you use your hands. Your gonna need to wash them after this anyways.Next, Go to the bathroom and fill up your bathtub with hot water and dish soap. Put all of the items into the bathtub except for the water bottle. Use a sponge or a wash cloth to rub all of the items. Make sure you scrub down the bottom of the cage real well. After, Take all of the items out of the bathtub and dry them off throughly. Take your water bottle to the sink and wash it without and soap. Use hot water to clean the inside. Then, Go back to your cleaning area and put new bedding in the bottom of the cage. Then start adding your toys and hideaway houses. Refill the food bowel with new food and put new water in the water bottle. Finally, Get your hamster from it's hamster ball and let it play in it's new cleaned out cage.AnswerPut your hamster in another container such as a good solid small box with AIR HOLES (punch small holes in top of box BEFORE putting the hamster in it. Then take out all the old cedar chips and clean cage well. Clean water dish and feeder well, dry and refill with water and food; put fresh cedar chips back in and the bedding the hamster has made. Then put your hamster back in. Do this quickly so you don't leave the hamster in the box too long.

http://www.ehow.com/how_2041091_clean-hamster-cage.HTML1 If you have another cage or ball he could run around in put him in there. 2 then if his cage has that fluffy stuff throw that away, 3 take his cage apart, 4 and just with a wet cloth clean the bottom, there might be some poop stuck on so rub hard ,5 oh and that horrible smell isn't its poop its his pee , that's why you have to have that fluffy stuff/hay or whatever because it keeps it from smelling so bad.

Put hamster in ball in a closed room. Bring everything outside. dump bedding. carefully disassemble. spray with water. apply soap and wash with a scrubber or a sponge. let sit for about 5-10 minutes and rinse thoroughly. Then put everything where the hamster had it and obviously add fresh bedding. Then take water bottle, take to sink and wash with warm water with soap. then rinse in cold water, and fill bottle up with room temp. water or cold water. apply hamster food in bowl and maybe give it a treat, like carrots and fresh fruit and veggies. remove fresh food 1 hr after given. then put hamster back in cage and let him/her eat/groom, run on wheel, etc. then leave. :-)

Well, it should be easy enough really...It should only take several minutes to do depending on sized and whether you have a cage or tank.

  1. Take your hamster out and make sure you have it in his play pen or in another cage while you do the work. To keep him busy add some food. If he's in his play pen, keep an eye on him. ;)

2. Take off any accesories that are hooked up on the outside (ex: waterbottle) then remove the top part of your cage or take it apart; how ever the cage is built.

3. Once you took apart your cage; Dump out the dirty bedding into the garbage or in a disposible plastic bag.

4. Bring the stuff over to the sink and begin to wash it with soap and water (accessories 'n all). Make sure you've gotten all the soap off in the end. And dry it! ^^

5. After. Fill the base up with an inch or two thick of bedding.

6. Put your cage back together and style it to your liking.

7. Put Mr.Hammy back in his home and watch what he does :D *chirp, chirp, chirp...*

Haha! Sorry, just wanted a little bit of laughs in there.

Hope this helped you!
