How do you clean a leopard gecko tank my Leo died a few weeks ago and im going to get a new one what cleaners can i use to clean the tank and how long should it air out the chemical smell?

Use a dilute solution of Milton fluid (the stuff they use to sterilize baby bottles with). Use 1 capful of Milton to 1 gallon of water. Scrub the tank thoroughly inside and out - since it's unlikely you know what it died of - you need to be sure you've sanitized all parts of the tank. Once you've cleaned it, rinse all surfaces with clean water, then leave the tank to dry on its own.
You will need to do the same with anything you're putting back into the tank (hides, water bowl etc). Once the surfaces have dried, Milton leaves no smell or residue.
