you do NOT wash mice, like cats they clean themselves if you watch your mice/mouse long enough you will see this behavior
You hire an exterminator but try to find one that relesses the mice into the forest and does not kill them with harmful and cruel chemicals.
You don't have to really wash it. Mabye once every two or three months because it tends to clean itself by licking.
Disconnect it, and wipe it down completely w/ wipes that are -safe- for electronics.
