You will need a basic cleaning kit, available at most gun shops or sporting goods departments, powder solvent, oil and patches- and you will need a computer. Use the link below to go to the owners manual. Cleaning instructions are around page 22. For any other lurkers out there- owner's manuals on MANY firearms are available for the asking from the makers IF they are still in business- check their websites.
You do not need to remove the picatinny rail on top to dissasemble for thorough cleaning. The tiny screws will eventually strip out of the aluminum receiver if you remove the rail too often. The firearm will swing apart with a little pressure,
