Yes you can. I have shot some in my dads Rem 7400. If you do shoot it. treat it likes it is corrosive and clean the gun promptly and properly.

your springfield model 1903 rifle is valued from 600-900 dollars at this time.this all depend,s on the amount of original finish left on the rifle,s metal and wood.The bore must also be in clean and shootable condition.The rifle you have was made by springfield in 1910,and the heat treatment to the recievers did not start until serial number 800,000.be careful of shooting any high pressure 30-06 loads in your old springfield.
