How do you clean tower aloha breeze tower fan model number 84001?

I couldn't find the disassembly instructions either, so I fiddled around with a unit I have until I figured it out. Here's how it goes. The body has two halves, one on the discharge side and one on the intake side. It is the one on the intake side that you can remove. Use a knife; a pocket knife works well. Find a button-like cover near the base of the unit, on the main half-cover on the intake side. Pry that up; you see a screw (actually it turns out to be a bolt) at the bottom of a well that is exposed. Remove that bolt. Remove the two bolts near the top of the unit, also on the intake side. The half-covers are still sticking to each other in the middle, because there are plastic tabs holding them there. Pry on those with your knife to make them turn loose. There is also a tab connection where the half-cover goes under the top end cap, where the controls are. (Did you remember to unplug the power? Do so if you forgot it!) You may need to push in with a flat bladed screwdriver to release the half-cover from the end cap. Or you may be able to angle it out, lifting from the base end.

Once you have removed the intake-side half-cover, the rotor is exposed. I used ear swabs (like "Q-tips", but it doesn't have to be that brand) to loosen the dust that was coating the inside of each blade. I vacuumed as much of the loosened dust as I could with my vac. I also came back and cleaned some of the areas better with ear swabs I had dipped in alcohol, particularly near the motor end of the rotor and between the rotor and the motor.

At this point you can see the two screws that would let you free the top bearing bracket from the front cover, and the five screws that would let you free the motor assembly from the front cover (one of them is at the center under the motor). However, I think that for the extra cleaning that would let you do, it is probably not worth the trouble.
