The blower motor, on your 2001 Volkswagen beetle, can be found in the front trunk compartment. The blower motor will be attached to the firewall, on the passenger side.
The paint code will be located in the trunk area on the spare tire cover of a new Volkswagen Beetle.
The catch should be adjustable.
If you look in the glove compartment, on the left hand side should be like a little level that you put down and then it should unlock it and should be able to open the trunk.
To open the trunk on a 1971 VW beetle, there is a little handle in the glove compartment which must be pulled toward the passenger seat to allow you to pop the trunk open. Pull the lever and then push the button on the trunk (hood). It should open right up. If the lever in the glove box is broken, you'll have to use a pair of pliers to pull the cable that unlocks the trunk. Good Luck...
You can't just slam it shut. Close it gently, then put your hand on the VW emblem and press down. When the trunk latches, you'll hear a little beep out of the horn.
it is located in the trunk of your beetle
It may be the lock latch has gone faulty It may be that the catch fitted to the body has come loose and moved but first check the lock mechanism hasn't closed over in the tail gate part
The lock is under the VW emblem -- I believe it turns counter-clockwise.
VW Beetle has trunk mats, liner, and carpet just like original Beetle did. Though the trunks now are similar to a hatchback.
there is a lever inside the glove box to unlatch the trunk !! that model also may have a key lock on the handle that you may have to unlock as well. it is in front of car and after unlocking it you push the lock cylinder in on the handle and pull upwards the trunk is in the front.
put your key in the ignition turn it on , have someone push the trunk button while pulling up on the trunk catch
