Methane is insoluble in water, and it is less dense than air.

Introduce moist methane via a delivery tube from one end of U shaped tube. The u shaped tube should contain fused calcium chloride. Dry methane can then be collected from the other end of the u shaped tube.

You can also use concentrated sulfuric acid as a drying agent as methane is a weak acidic gas. Then collect the gas using upward delivery as it’s less dense. Or can also use gas syringe if the gas has to be measured.

What is sample survey?

A sample survey is a research method where a subset of a larger population is chosen to gather information or insights about the entire population. Sample surveys are commonly used in market research, social sciences, and public opinion polling.
