First make sure you have beaten Bowser in the first battle. If you did, you should have a key to unlock the basement. Do that and go straight ahead till you find a wooden door. Enter it, and go right then forward till you see a fiery hand face. Then turn left and follow the path. At the end is an empty wall. Jump into it and your in Shifting Sand Land.

The pyramid puzzle star is actually 5 silver stars. Go in the pyramid, and on the second floor, you will see 3 silver stars on your touch screen! Collect them all, when you have, go up a few more floors and you will see 2 more silver stars! When you have collected all 5 of them go back to the second floor and here we go!

Shifting Sand Land's fifth star requires you to collect the eight red coins scattered throughout the level.:

Red Coin 1: Go left from where Mario starts the level. There is a red coin

jammed in the very corner of the level. Don't go too fast, though

or you could possibly fall into the quicksand and die.

Red Coin 2: Get to the grey stone structure by the first Pokey near the start of the level. The coin will be in one of the brick blocks here.

Red Coin 3: This coin is found somewhere around the giant rolling blocks.

Red Coin 4: In the water following the area that the third red coin was in.

Red Coins 5-8: All the other coins are in the air around the pillars. You will need a wing cap to get them. Get a wing cap by being Mario when you enter the level, then go to the pyramid and instead of going straight inside, turn left, hit the red ? block there to collect a feather, but if you do not have your cap on you will end up getting a Bob-omb instead.

Which wall on Super Mario 64?

If you are referring to the secret walls in which you can jump into, the first one can be found in the basement of the castle. Once in the basement, run towards the painting of "Lethal Lava Land". Instead of jumping into it however, make a left. You'll see that you've come across a dead end at first glance but it is actually a secret wall leading into the world known as "Shifting Sand Land."
