Just add a network interface card, the TCP/IP protocol in Network Connections and connect to a router or cable modem. That's the simple answer. The process could be a little more difficult depending on your circumstances and computer's hardware configuration.
yes.
If a PC does not include a network card, it isn't able to connect to the internet. So basically if you include a network card every pc can connect to the internet, if the operating system(e.g. Windows, Macintosh, Linux) on your pc is working properly.
The reason that your Internet stops working with another device working at 100 percent with Windows 8 from a Windows 7 upgrade is that there is another device on your network that is set as the primary. If you did not set up a shared network where another computer or device could pull or share from your computer directly, it is best to have the computer reset to the date that it worked correctly last and change the settings to private.
If you have a working internet connection, and an update version of LDD, then it will automatically connect.
ADDITIONAL INFO! I don't know how to add it to the question, soo... I have a very old computer running windows 2000 ME and it usually connects to the internet through dial up. We got rid of dial up a long time ago and recently I bought a NETGEAR WG111T wireless adapter. I downloaded the installation files onto my working computer and transferred them to the second non-internet computer via flash drive and installed all the needed software and drivers. The adapter is connected to my router but my computer wants to use dial-up to connect to the internet. Does anyone know a way to re-work the computer so that it connects to the internet with the adapter not dial-up?
All three of mine are working fine with Windows ... each with a different version too.

Assuming you have an active internet connection, try rebooting the computer, wait for the internet connection to connect and try again. If this fails, uninstall firefox, download the latest version and reinstall.

An Internet working device used to connect different LAN segments is called a Modem. A Modem can be either hard wired to the computer or use a Wi-Fi connection to connect to the computer. Dial up Modems were also used that ran through telephone lines.
