Most current networks use UTP but you are describing a "thinwire" network.
Thinwire uses coax and an Rg58 connection.
UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) networks use RJ45 connectors. They look like an oversized telephone plug.
You can purchase a thinwire modem for your computer if that's what you need, or you can get a hub that can act as a converter if your computer already has an RJ45 network connection.
First make sure your computer is connected to a connection and then plug your Ethernet cord into your xbox then connect it to your computer! if you don't have spot in your computer for the ethernet cord to go in......then your screwed
An ethernet cable is a network cable that is used to connect your computer or other web-enabled device to the internet. You can use an ethernet cable to establish a wired connection from your computer to a router or modem to connect to the internet.
Through either its wireless connection or through a ethernet port.
Just connect the Ethernet cable (RJ-45 crossover) to the laptop .Then you will get the connection.
If there is a wireless connection yes, but with nothing but them 2 no. Edit:My bad yes you can, one way connect an ethernet cord to each other!
To maintain the connection with your computer, the ethernet cable must remain connected to the system. If this is not an option, check to see if your computer has 802.11 Wi-Fi built in. If so, you can first connect the computer to the network via Wi-Fi by accessing your network connection settings.
You need a special adapter that usually run $17.
Ethernet is more reliable. USB speed depends on your CPU's load at the time, so if you are running a lot of programs at the same time, the available speed for USB ports is decreased, resulting in a slower connection. Connect with ethernet if possible. USB would be helpful though if you want to share your connection with, say, another computer of a gaming console through your ethernet. You could connect through USB and share through ethernet. But if you are just trying to connect to the internet with solely one computer, use ethernet.
An ethernet adapter is the component that allows you to connect to your internet modem or computer network. Upon connecting your ethernet cable, you will be able to access the internet or computer network to which you are connected.
With an Ethernet cord or a wireless adapter.
No. Unless you are using a wired connection and unplug the computer's Ethernet cable because you do not have a router or WiFi Modem.
