How do you connect your headset to your xbox 360?

To use the headset you have to plug it in to the front of your controller. Plug it into the hole in bottom area and turn the volume up and talk.
to use the headset, plug it in to the bottom of the controller. There should be small hole which the plug will fit in

It is an x12 model but i dont have the xbox cable does anyone know the name of it? Or is there some kind of a converter cable for mics that can convert a 3.5mm to a 2.5mm or would that even work on the 360?

Directions=

1. Look on the bottom of your controller

2. There should be a little hole

3. insert your headphone into the outlet

4. turn your xbox microphone on ( there should be a switch, green= on, red= off)

5. then talk throught it!

6. Have fun!

Plug it into the little circle at the bottom of your controller, it should always be on if you are playing a multi-player game with the ability of using a headset, or if you are in a party (if playing a multi-player game and in a party, only the party hears you, not everyone). If that doesn't work, check to see if the headset has a mute or volume option anywhere on it, or the headset might be broken. You also don't have to use a headset made only for the 360, I use one made for a phone and it works great.

On the controller there is a plug-in for it. Right by the battery, but not on the bottom it's sort of in the middle.
