I am the mother of a 38 year old daughter with Aspergers Syndrome. If you are describing yelling, repeating, animated, PANIC!! This is NOT a punishable tantrum/behaviour; it is a frustrated cry for help. At my house that behavior signals sensory overload OR that she doesn't have a concrete solution for an abstract problem. I believe the standard behavior modifications are: calendars, lists, journals - making the abstract more concrete (even for things we think are goofy)!! My girl has a HS diploma, independently rides public transportation, has a job and even a boyfriend; BUT, like an actress, she needs a script to follow so - we rehearse new situations in advance so that she has confidence instead of fear. When a new situation has been successfully accomplished - PRAISE, PRAISE, PRAISE. When WE learn to think like THEY think, it will become second nature and, like riding a bicycle, you'll never forget.

Of course you could get married to a girl who has autistic brothers. I'm not sure why you would think otherwise, having autistic siblings or even being autistic yourself doesn't stop you from getting married.

learn an instrument (probs guitar) and play her a song!
A person cannot have 'mild autism' you are either autistic or you are not, and how you're impacted by your autism can change throughout your life. A persons blood type or how intelligent they are has no relation to whether or not their offspring would be Autistic, it is possible for an Autistic parent to have a neurotypical child - although genetically Autism is believed to have a strong link on the male side, with Autistic fathers more likely to have Autistic children; Autistic sons especially.
At 17 she is a minor and her parents can do what they wish (within reason) to punish her.
ok, i have it... House of cards, 1993. enjoy
Well, in real life I was autistic myself but it wasn't severe so... It really depends on how she is if she doesn't judge a person by anyone's cover you should tell her. If she does judge people and when you tell her she won't hang out with you anymore then she is not a good friend. Either way you should tell her. You are unique even though you are autistic. It is really no big deal. Relax and tell her.
The guy is suffering from some esteem and mental problem.
make her lose control
Anyone can fall in love with anyone. No matter what their handicap. Just because someone is Autistic doesn't mean they don't feel everything that normal people feel, they just feel it in their own special way. If you are the non-autistic partner, study up on it . Every person with a disability or chronic condition has their own special needs and challenges.A long as everyone concerned has an idea what to expect, everything will go more smoothly.
