There is a whole set of tools along the top of the answer box. Hold your mouse arrow over each one to read its title.
(Bug Notice: At the present time you may find the only way to remove "Insert block of quoted text" is to remove everything and Save.)
Try this on an unanswered question:
Adding Bold
-Click on the B icon and then type some text. Click it again to return to normal. OR
-First type some text and highlight part of it. Then click on the icon.
This should give bold print.
Removing Bold
To remove bold from text: highlight it and then click on the B icon once or twice.
This will turn the bold off and on. One click works if you highlighted just the bold letters. If both bold and normal letters are highlighted, the first click makes them all bold and the second click makes them normal.
When Bold Reappears
-Highlight the whole answer and click on the second icon from the right, 'Remove Format'. (That one solves lots of problems!)
-If the bold is just at the top, highlight the whole top area, click on the first icon, 'Headings', then click 'Normal'.
Try the others
Usually clicking the icon once turns it on, clicking again turns it off or reverses the effect. Or you may have to enter a new command ('justify left' to remove 'justify center').
If it doesn't reverse, click it on and off a couple of times. Sometimes 'Remove Format' is needed (second from end).
Be sure to try them out on an unanswered question so you don't accidentally ruin a good answer!
And don't ruin your own good answers by over-using them.
