From my personal experience, the Mac is 100% better than a PC/Dell/Windows type system. It does take a little more patience because you need to learn the nuances of the Mac system. All the Control key features are the same. You don't have to disk clean & defrag a Mac system like you do a Windows system. In the last 2 years, I have phased out 5 PC Window system computers for Mac systems and its great. PLUS there are less virus threats (94% of the world is Windows Based with about 5%-6% Mac Based).
If the Macs are side by side, then an OSX plugin called Teleport lets you treat the two MAc desktops as a single desktop and control them with one mouse and keyboard. If one Mac is remote, then ScreenSharing is a built in remote control app in /System/Library/CoreServices, to allow one Mac to be controlled from another.
System Preferences is available in when one Clicks Finder on the Desktop in MAC OSX.
