it would be cheaper to buy a 4x4 vehicle
u need to change out the front end suspension , such as springs steering, axle.then u need to change transmission to one that accomadates a transfer case.then u need to change rear drive shaft to match, u also need to buy front drive shaft. after getting all this you then need to make sure rear differential and front differential both have same gear ratios

The Spicer 24 was used on the 4wd trucks- don't think Ford ever made a front wheel drive (FWD)
I have a 1997 ford f250 4x4, 5.4 gas engine. We just changed our crankshaft sensor. ours is located bottom front passenger side of engine behind the A/C pulley on the side wall.

It is possible....but extremely frustrating and expensive without a donor vehicle. GET A DONOR VEHICLE !!!!! You will be money and time ahead.
That can be a problem with the fuse, the switch might be faulty. The motor at the transfer case might be unplugged.
