you would have to get a carbeureted manifold and a non-computer-controlled-distributor. then you have a choice; you can keep your current heads and cut the four middle bolt holes on your new intake out to the edge so the bolts will fit, or you can put an older set of heads on it (older heads have bolts around the edge of the valve covers instead of through the middle). after you have bolted all these parts on with new gaskets, you have to run a positive (that comes on with the ignition switch) to the distributor terminal marked +. that should make it run, but your fuel pump will switch off after about a second. you will have to solve that problem by either wiring the fuel pump the same way you did the distributor (on and off with the ignition switch) and installing a fuel pressure regulator, or removing the fuel pump and running an aftermarket electric one or a standard manual one that bolts to the block. I am doing a swap of a 74 350 into an 89 scottsdale and i kept the serpentine belt system with the a/c pump, Power Steering, and stock 89 alternator. it is working so far, but i still have not solved the fuel issue for lack of money and lack of knowing which way is best. if you come up with any info on the fuel issue, please email me (benson-stacy@hotmail.com) thanks and good luck.

Yes it is a TBI / Throttle Body Injection. Fuel injected.
The 1989 Chevy Caprice 305 V8 does not have a carburetor. It is equipped with Throttle Body Fuel Injection which may look like a carburetor but is not.
In the throttle body.
take it all apart and unclog it make shure you remember where it all goes or you are SCREWED
Both. It has fuel injectors and a throttle body.
The 87 will bolt in to the 77 however, the 87 is throttle body fuel injected. You will have to convert the 77 over to except throttle body fuel injection perhaps with parts from a donor truck.
TBI (throttle-body injected)
