Yes, you need a prescription for an ankle brace. your doctor would need to prescribe an ankle brace, and usually will order one for you. You can order one for yourself online, but those can range in prices, and it would be easier to let insurance cover the brace prescribed.
Not unless a qualified medical practitioner (a doctor) prescribes on for you.
They certainly can -- but without information on what you need help with this question is impossible to answer.
just by proving that you need it
Yes and no. I have known many girls who have still injured their ankles playing while wearing braces. However that could possibly be because of the brand or quality. I personally don't wear them.
If you have ankle issues, or have previously hurt it(sprained, broken, ect.) then yes wear an ankle brace, if you feel you need to.If you have nothing wrong with your ankles, then don't wear one, wearing one when you don't need one ruins your ankles.
what type of brace do I need after a extraction?? Is to put a tooth in this place
It depends on you. If there's no fracture, than you don't need crutches unless you want crutches. If you feel you cannot walk easily/ step on your sprained ankle at all, than you should get crutches. If you can limp around just fine, then there is no reason to get crutches.
You do not need a knee brace if you are sure that it is just a contusion. A knee brace can be helpful for ligament and cartilage injuries and sometimes is used if there is some doubt.
yes... a leg brace is like a cast
It all depends. If it was minor and your ankle is sore but not hurting, I don't think you would need to wear one. If it is actually painful but not too badly, I would wear a brace if I am going to do something active (sports, jogging, etc), but not while walking around (if you can handle it). I wouldn't wear it while walking around because you need to keep the strength up. If you are having problems walking or bearing weight, I would wear an ankle support and try to get to a doctor. I'm not trying to say tough it out, you just have to figure out where you are
There are a variety of reasons that you may need a custom back brace. If you need one in or near Mainline Philadelphia, PA you can get them made at the Brace Shop.
