How do you convince your parents into getting you a switch blade?

You don't. If I was the parent I would be asking quesions like. who is harassing or threatening you at school? Has the school done anything about it? Are you really that unsafe you need to carry a switchblade? Has someone already hurt you?
Some other questions to think about. Are you really ready to use it? Second, what if it gets taken away from you and used on you? How about if a friend is trying to protect you and you accidentally stab him or her? Is your head hurting yet.
You need to talk to your parents honestly and tell them what is gong on. They are there to help you. They are not the enemy. Don't be afraid to say to your mom and dad "I don't feel safe and that is why I want you to get me a switch blade". Of course expect over the top drama for a few minutes. But say that you are feeling unsafe and you don't know what to do. that is why you are asking them for your help and their support.
Another suggestion take up karate or some other self defense class. Be safe, be wise and keep on being you.
