How do you convince your parents to let you get a bellybutton ring?

research it...make sure you know the ins and outs of the piercing (is it harmful, how old must you be, where your getting it done, after treatment...and so on)act very mature and responsible a while before you ask for your piercing (do chores, dont lie, do well in school, dont disobey them, dont fight with siblings, try and act in a good mood all the time).....so you can use the excuse of "what havnt i done to deserve this...i help around the house, i do well in school, i get on well with the family, im responsible and mature.. so why cant i get it done"your parents are going to think it is just a phase and that it'll ware off after awhile. tell them your serious about it and that your not trying to be cool or copying your friend..let them know you are interested without whining and asking them 3 times a day because they will just ge annoyed and mad and say no. give them time to think and discuss the matter.think of it this way... if your with a little child and they ask you to buy them a chocolate bar.. one child keeps going on and on about the bar until you get so mad you say no straight away...wheres the other child asks and you say no and she ses ok and drops the subject, you then feel bad as the child respected your wish so you buy them the bar out of guilt....(understand what im getting at with the story??)try this and let me know how you get on
