According to my Chilton repair manual code PO446 indicates: EVAP system Fuel Tank Pressure (FTP) sensor fault. The fuel tank pressure sensor on OBD - II equipped vehicles is part of the evaporative emission control system and is used to monitor vapor pressure in the fuel tank. The PCM uses this information to turn on and off the PURGE VALVES and SOLENOIDS of the evaporative emission system. I'm sorry but I haven't been able to find any more information.
