Best Answer

You can get letters from the lenders correcting their mistakes. Keep the original letters. Write your own letter asking that they correct the error--make 3 copies and address one to each reporting company. Attached a copy of the lender's letter to each one showing that it was reported in error. You should get an answer in a few days stating they are working on it and it will be another 30 days to fix. The credit company will verify that the letter is a real letter and correct the error. You will then get a follow up letter and a new credit report showing it is now fixed. It takes a bit so as long as you are not in a hurry--it is well worth the wait! Incorrect entries in your credit history may be worked out through contacting the three big credit reporting agencies. Improving credit, in general, takes time. You need to build a solid record of financial responsibility.
