If the bcm stores the odometer mileage, you need to get one that has the correct mileage in it.

The climate control module is part of the control assembly. The entire assembly has to be replaced as one unit for the 1990 models.

I found the answer at http://www.obd-codes.com/p0601. It says that the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) needs to be replaced.
The airbag fuse is an integral part of the airbag control module and is not a replaceable part in itself. The airbag control module must be replaced.
BCM's run dash components (eg:Digital odometer, speedometer) door locks seats etc on most cars.
Bulbs cannot be replaced. Entire control module must be replaced.

The ignition control module acts like the coil and sends the sparks to the correct cylinder when the computer tells it to.
Assuming you mean crank position sensor, it tells the ignition control module the position of the crankshaft so the module can tell the correct coil to fire at the correct time.
