On a Mac right click on the file/folder and select Compress file/folder name from the menu that appears. This will create a zip file called file/folder name.zip
One way that will work is to use Unix commands to create a text file containing that list and print the text file. There are probably other ways too.
There are a number of ways to create a copy of a DVD to your desktop. These two are the most common: 1. You can create and image of the DVD using a DVD ripping software and save the image file on your desktop. 2. Create a folder in your desktop and paste the contents of your DVD into the folder.
The thumbs.db file stores the 'thumbnails' (small previews) of the images in the same folder. This helps to load the image previews faster when the folder's contents are viewed as 'thumbnails' or 'filmstrip'. You can safely delete this file if need be, however it will just be created again the next time you view the folder's contents as thumbnails or filmstrip.
