How do you deal with mean friends?

If they are verbally mean, just ignore them. And say out loud loud enough for them to hear that if they are talking about you at least they are leaving someone else alone. It makes them mad. all they want is a reaction, no reaction means they lost the battle and it makes them mad, that they didn't win. You are the only one who knows the truth about you so ignore what they say. If its physical, knock them down a few knotches. Show them whos boss, or tell a adult.

They sound like they aren't true friends. I would talk to each privatley and ask why they are being so mean to you or others. If they can't tell you, then I would tell them you don't want to hang out with them. If they say why, ask them to stop, and be nicer. I hope I helped! :)

1. Avoid them
2. Take the bullying in silence
3. Snitch

Avoiding them will only be so effective. You will not be able to avoid someone who actively seeks you.

Taking the bullying in silence isn't an attractive choice, and it really solves nothing.

So, the only real option you have is to snitch. Tell someone in authority like a teacher, your school principal, a counselor, or your parents. On the outside chance that no one does anything (very outside in the world today), pick up a phone and call the office of your local Child Protective Services and tell on everyone you told who did nothing. Just, tell all the adults you will be doing so before you do it.
