May I assume that you are a woman and are married to a man age 65? May I also assume that you feel that your husband has changed in ways that you do not appreciate? May I also assume that his behavior worries you and that you wish you had married a younger man?

If this is all true, then let me suggest that all of us change with age. That at age 65, a man might feel that life is passing him by. That his accomplishments are lacking, that he has made many missteps, that he labors over many regrets and, that looking ahead, he has but a few years left. This kind of assessment bears consequences, that can often result in a deep depression.

But hold on! If you're younger be prepared to reach that same point, maybe earlier or later, but you will reach it, for sure. So give him some slack for you'll need it from him later on. I guarantee it.
