There's nothing that needs to be done. He's your son regardless of his sexual orientation. Continue to treat him as your son.

Ask him questions, accept his answers and be as understanding as you can. and most importantly support him just like you would if he were straight.

Answer

Love him, let him know you love him; accept him; treat him like you always have and would if he were straight; his sexuality is about as important as his eye colour: not at all. Some people might suggest getting him into sport or seeing a psychologist or something. Sportiness doesn't affect sexuality. Psychologists can't change people's sexuality.

40% of teenagers who try to kill themselves are gay. Your son needs your love and support; a lot of people will hate him, don't be one of those. Help him learn to ignore the idiots who'll dislike him, let him know that he is loved and accepted. It might save his life.

Love him. Cherish him. You created him and he is just as he is supposed to be.

Talk to them about their relationships with the opposite gender or just talk to them about why they think they are gay. It might be that their physical isn't pretty and they think they would have a better chance with their own gender. If you realize they are gay do not be harsh on them by trying to fix the problem by forcing them to be with an opposite gender partner. Sometimes they react in a very bad way and could end trying to dosomething to harm themselves or end their life.

Its just the same with straight people except their gay so think about what you bet with

Woah, stop being so prejudice towards your child. You can't stop your child from being gay, they're born with it. Just deal with it and accept them for who they are. they're people like you who have a life. They're happy that way. you could give your child serious depression. Just deal with it, i know its hard. I suggest you talk to your child about it and settle it. But please dont be prejudice towards them. dont be disgusted

There is nothing to cope with. Be glad your son is out and proud and most importantly happy! And be happy and proud for him. There is no one to 'blame' as being gay is as natural as being tall. Teach him about safe sex or direct him to a LGBT resource centre in your area, or online.
