Sometimes we have to fight fire with fire. He threatens you when he tells you he's leaving again. The next time he tells you that, walk to the door, open it, and suggest that he leaves right away. I bet he backs off and probably the only reason he continues to use this against you is because you put up with it. Even if he leaves, probably you would be better off without him as who needs the stress of this kind of relationship.
