How do you defeat raam on gears of war?

you shoot him in the head 3 times with a longshot when the kryll are gone and then 3 times with a torque boq and then when he comes closer tag him with a grenade as many times as possible.. final bit is epic!:)

First you need the Torque Bow (with full ammo) and the Lancer (full ammo). Straight away, go to the furthest block on the right. When the bat things move away, hit Raam with the Torque Bow, preferably in the face. Do this a few times. But in between each shot with the Torque Bow, shoot some rounds of the lancer into his face. Do this a few times and he should die.

THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS... STAY IN THE LIGHT!!! The bat things will kill you instantly. If this doesn't work first time, keep trying and hope to god you kill him!

You need four frag grenades a sniper with full ammo and a tourqe bow. Shoot RAAM when he is shielded and when the kryll leave him shoot him with the bow. Be sure to shoot him with the bow when the kryll are going back to him. It does him damage and scatters the kryll. When there are swarms of kryll in the sky stay behind cover that has lights on the floor.( It keeps them away from you). And when RAAM is unprotected, use frags as well. And if Dom is on the floor bleeding and he is near RAAM, DO NOT GO OUT FOR DOM!!!! He will not die. Just keep fighting RAAM.

its crazy but you can also run before the lights go out at the end there is a machine gun u can die easy but it works

RAMM is a great boss, so great in fact that his name is, for no reason, in all caps. The way i beat him is by firing the torque bow to get the bats off him then I snipe him as much as I can, preferably in the head. When he gets close you can throw the grenades then run to the other side while staying in the light as much as you can.

First, stay at the back near the door when you have a Torque Bow and Sniper, also have at least 4 Frags and your ready. Second, keep shooting Raam in the face about 10 or more times, and when he gets close to you get a Frag out stick it to him and dive away from him if he doesn't die, get in cover and keep shooting in the face again.

Its easier doing it with a friend with experience. =)

Also Before Going through the door to face RAAM Take out your pistol, Fire once, tap reload and quickly hold the reload button as swap to any other weapon, if done correctly you should have caused the reload bar to appear on that weapon, get a perfect reload and repeat, go back to pistol just tap reload again swap guns, no second firing is needed. Once done you should have increased damage on that weapon with out using it's own bullets you just shot once with the pistol. (Note) You may want to do it on both the Torque Bow And The Sniper so both have increased damage.

RAAM is a challenging boss but I'll tell you how to beat him. Step 1: Kryll will be around RAAM so use the Torque Bow to blow them away. Step 2: Shoot with your lancer or hammerburst. Step 3: Blind fire to shoot RAAM because if you aim, the Kryll will kill you. Step 4: When RAAM comes close to you, wait for the Kryll to leave him before shooting. After they do. Keep on blindfiring RAAM and soon enough, you will beat him. (Tip: You don't have to use the Torque Bow. You can use the sniper rifle as well.
