If they get it locked in you're pretty much screwed, best thing you can do is put your chin down immediately and try to get their arm from behind your head so that they can't lock it in. The best way to defend a rear naked choke is to use the great rule of 2 on 1. Use both of your hands to control one of the wrists of your opponent. Not many artists are able to finish this submission with one arm. Try to focus the pain to another part of your body so it doesnt hurt as mutch if u no wat i meen

The blood flow resumes once the hold is released. The hold is performed by curling one arm around the neck, so the bicep and forearm are positioned over the arteries, and using the other arm to both secure the first arm (the hand of which grips your bicep) and to push the opponents head forwards into the hold.
