If you only want to delete a few photos, you can do so on your iPhone:

1. Start the camera app

2. Tap the photo thumbnail in the bottom-left corner

3. Move your finger across the screen sideways until you find the photo you want to delete

4. Tap the trash can icon in the bottom-right corner (if your icons have disappeared, tap the screen lightly when your unwanted photo is displayed, the icons will then reappear)

5. Press the "Delete Photo" button

6. Repeat steps 3-5 until you've deleted all unwanted photos

If you want to delete a lot of photos, I'd recommend this method:

1. Plug your iPhone into a laptop or another computer, using the iPhone's USB cable (normally attached to the charger)

2. If a window with the iPhone's contents doesn't open automatically, using Windows Explorer or Mac's Finder window, find the iPhone directory/folder and click through until you get to the one with the photos

3. Holding down the CTRL key (Windows) or Command (on a Mac), single-click all of the files you want to delete, and press the "delete" key (if you want to select consecutive files, hold down the Shift key instead)
