How do you delete avast licensing alert?

Licensing Alert keeps popping up on Avast Security software is very annoying sometimes, this is informing you that the software is about to expire soon. I will give you step by step instructions to remove these reminders.

1. Look for Avast Security software icon in your system tray
2. Right click and select Program Settings
3. This will open the Avast Settings screen
4. Look for Troubleshooting in the left panel
5. Click on it and check Disabled avast! self-defense module

• Once checked, this will allow you to delete and make changes of the software, then we can move on to the next steps.
• Go to Start>>>>Computer>>>> Local C drive>>>>> Program Files>>>> Avast Software folder
• Look for asw5Not23 and delete this file name and this will remove the Licensing Alert window pop-up.
• The steps provided above will not let you worry about the pop-up, but you will still need to update your Avast Security software to keep up to date Antivirus program.

Here is the solution.

Look for the Avast Icon in the tray. Right click on it. Select "Program Settings". Then "Troubleshooting". Then put a check on "Disable Avast Self-Defense Module". Then Click OK..

The window will close. Don't worry.

Open My Computer Icon. Click on the C:\ drive. Select Program Files Find The Avast Folder "Alwil Software ". Open "Avast 4". Find the application named "asw5Not2.exe" and delete it.

Note: If the alert is opened on your screen, just close it or Ctrl Alt + Del and close it from the Task Manager otherwise the file name "asw5Not2.exe" will not delete.

The last step is for you to go back and undo the check on "Disable Avast Self-Defense Module". Then Click OK.
