Setting a photo as your wallpaper for the desktop will depend on what type of operating system you are using on your computer. In Windows Vista you right click on the desktop and choose the option personalize. You then will click on the second option "personalize desktop" and you can then choose any photo that is saved to your computer.

You click delete photo.
Right click and select, set as wallpaper
Go to: Settings > General > Wallpaper > Wallpaper/Photo Library > Select a picture > Set Wallpaper
you go into the setting tab press wallpaper and then click on the picture of the home screen and choose a photo. you can also go into the inbuilt pictures app and then click a picture, then click the box with the arrow coming out if it and set it as a wallpaper
Click on the photo to highlight it, then hit delete or right click the photo again and select delete, then confirm your selection by clicking yes.
If you delete pictures off of the photo stream they're no longer there.
Click on the photo, and in blue, underneath it, it will say "Delete this photo"
go to that photo and click on delete this photo under the picture.
If you were the person who uploaded the photo, click on the photo you want to delete and scroll down to the option where you can tag the photo, make the photo your profile picture, etc. One of the options is to delete photo.
