The ask toolbar is removed like any other program.
1. Close any open browsers.
2. Click the Windows "Start" menu button.
3. Go to "Control Panel"
4. Select "Add or Remove Programs".
5. Scroll until you find "ask.com toolbar"
6. Right click and hit uninstall/change
Ask.com Toolbar is now uninstalled. Please restart web browser again after closing all your open browser windows to confirm it is no longer present.
If this doesn't work you might want to use a third party uninstaller.

∙ 9y agoAsk is not a Browser it is a Toolbar. First open Add/Remove programs and find the Ask Toolbar and uninstall it. Look for any other programs that has Ask in the Publisher field and uninstall them. Now open your browser and click Manage Add-Ons. Remove Ask. Now change your default search provider to something other than Ask. Set your Home page to whatever you want and you are done.
