One of the most generic ways to remove unwanted programs like this is to simply click on the start button, go into the control panels, and click on Add/Remove Programs (Windows XP) or 'Programs and Features' (Windows Vista, 7, 8). From here you can select programs like 'Viewster' for removal.
That said, most software like this also installs other software (like toolbars and such). What I like to do once in Programs and Features is to click the column heading that says 'Date' to sort the programs by date. Find the program that I want to remove, and see if there were other programs that were installed on the same day that I may want to remove (e.g. ones that I dont remember 'consenting' to install).
You can also go to a website like MalwareBytes (.org) and install their Anti-malware software. Run a scan and it should pick out potentially unwanted programs like this and give you the option to remove them.
To delete the viewster virus you must do the following: 1. Uninstall viewster.com by going to the Plugins/ add-ons/ extensions or Toolbars of your web browser. 2. Next uninstall the viewster program from the Add/Remove programs via the control panel. 3. Go to the C drive and then programs to delete viewster's files and folders. 4. Lastly go to the start menu and type run in the search box. Open the run box and type REGEDIT and hit enter. 5. The registry will open and from there remove any registry keys associated with viewster.
