evaporation (heating up water so all the water is separated from the salt)
filtration (this is the easiest way of collecting the water, but is the least accurate)
dessication (would not be used if trying to obtain water, and would not be used with water and salt)
hope it helps :)
distill the water
The only way i know to truly remove salt from water is to boil it and collect the evaporation.
One can effectively desalt water through a process called desalination, which removes salt and other impurities from water to make it suitable for drinking or other uses. Desalination methods include reverse osmosis, distillation, and electrodialysis. These processes involve separating salt from water through physical or chemical means, resulting in clean, drinkable water.
to desalt water you will need a bowl , water ,and salt.you will first put the water in the bowl.then you will put the salt in.after that you get a spoon and stir the water and salt.then put it in the freezer and wait 3 hours.once the 3 hours are over you will not see the salt.if u do it would be dottoed all around.if u see the salt you did not follow the steps.i hope this was usefull.see ya people of vegas.
To desalt smoked ham, soak it in cold water for several hours, changing the water every 30 minutes to an hour to help draw out the salt. For a quicker method, you can also simmer the ham in unsalted broth or water for about 30 minutes. After desalting, rinse the ham thoroughly and cook it according to your recipe. Taste before serving to ensure it has reached your desired salt level.
Because water wants to freeze in it's pure form, you can spray water into cold air. As the water begins to freeze in the air, the salt is pushed out. By the time it lands, the frozen water is pure and since some of the water contains all the salt, it drains off. The ice that is left is de-salted.
This is simple, drain the Olives of their oil or brine, and then cover them in hot water. Allow to cool in the fridge for 3-4 hours before draining and a substantial part of the salt content has been removed. The more water you use, the more salt you remove. Repeat the process according to your own taste preferences.

No. salt water is salt water. it already has salt in it
Salt water
Salt water is denser than fresh (not salt) water.
The amount of salt water you get will depend on the concentration of salt in the water. When you mix salt with water, the salt dissolves into the water to increase its volume slightly. The overall volume of the salt water will be the sum of the volumes of the original salt and water components.
