There are over 200 different cells in the body. Some of the most common cell shapes include; squamous, cuboidal, columnar, polygonal, spheroid, discoid, fusiform and fibrous.

1. squamous:thin and flat like a floor tile

2. cuboidal:like a cube of sugar

3. polygonal:many sides

4. discoid:flat, disc shape

5. fusiform:shaped like a spindle, larger in the middle and tapered at each end
