If you cannot find a grading book, take a look at an auction site and find a clear picture of an uncirculated (usually graded MS60 - Mint State 60 - or higher) and look carefully at: 1) The detail of the hair on the front, and 2) the detail of the chest feathers of the Eagle on the back. If your coin has some of those details worn away, it is less than uncirculated. Grades range from "Good" - really worn, but, hey, you can tell it's a bird, to "Very Good" (VG) - you can see a few curls, to "Fine" or "Very Fine" (VF) where some/most of the details are still there to "Extra Fine" (EF) where the details are just about all there except at the high points where a bit of wear is there - they can still be very good looking coins. Plus there are various Uncirculated (MS) grades up to MS70. Some grading IS subjective.
Coin collecting (and grading is a big part of it) is a great hobby. To have a Peace Dollar of any grade is to have a piece of history. (and they do have .77 troy oz of Silver in each, btw) Good luck.
To determine the condition of a Peace dollar, you can use the Sheldon Coin Grading Scale. It assesses the coin's wear and overall preservation. Look for any signs of wear, damage, or discoloration on both sides of the coin, paying attention to details such as the hairline, feathers, and lettering. The scale ranges from Poor to Perfect Uncirculated (MS-70), with higher grades indicating better condition and higher value.
A 1923 Peace dollar is very common and has values of $25.00-$27.00 in circulated condition.
The first PEACE dollar was struck in 1921 , the date 1902 is a MORGAN dollar that's valued at $35.00-$50.00 in circulated condition. Peace dollars were made from 1921 to 1935.
The fact that the eagles wings are spread tells me it's a Morgan dollar not a Peace dollar. Value is $16.00-$25.00 depending on condition.
The 1924 silver dollar is called a Peace dollar because it says Peace on the side with the eagle. It is worth about $25 for the silver alone. If the condition is better, it is worth more.
A 1922-D Peace Dollar in very good condition (VG8) is worth: $20; if its mint state is MS60, its value increases to: $35.00

It depends if this coin is the peace dollar or the Morgan dollar. Both were made in 1921.

It should be valued at $15 - $30 depending on the condition of the coin.
All coins are graded on a scale of 1 to 70, 1 being the worst condition and 70 being the highest. So the mint state for a Peace dollar is considered and where from MS60 to MS70. MS is the abbreviation of mint state.

It's worth between $22 and $30 in average condition, and a little over $100 in uncirculated condition.
From $75.00 to $180.00 in circulated condition
Please post a new question. Peace dollars were minted from 1921 to 1935.
