No this V6 is not an interference engine. However the cam belt should be replaced at 75,000 miles. Reason being is that the 1998 Honda Passport is nothing more than a rebadged Isuzu Rodeo, and was not built by Honda and does not have a Honda engine. It has an Izuzu engine.
The thermostat is located in the housing on the engine side of the upper radiator hose on a Honda Passport 3.2 engine. You will have to take the air filter tubing off to get to it.
