The door chime on a 2000 Ford F250 can be disabled by removing the fuse or pulling the wiring harness. The chime is automatically trigger each time the door is opened or is left open
if you have the owner book that came with the vehicle, you can find in the book how to disable the door chime
It should be located under the dashboard. usually behind the center console (heater controls, stereo etc...) You should be able to just pull out the wire that is fitted into it. But be careful. The same chime is used to let you know if you've left your headlights on, or your keys in the ignition.
that chime is telling you that the door is open if you have owner manuel, you can find in manuel how to turn off the door open chime from working
Chime
The only thing I can think of is to glue the button in the door jamb.
The brain that holds the door chime is behind the factory stereo on the left hand side The brain that holds the door chime is behind the factory stereo on the left hand side
MUST REPLACE FACTORY CD PLAYER OR CUT OUT THE SPEAKER LEAD.
You can unplug it. Its under the dash board
Turn the key to ON instead of to auxiliary, the radio will play and you don't have to worry about fuses or the door switch. == == Look in the fuse box and remove the fuse for that particular warning. Be sure the fuse is only for that one though as you may disable another feather in the process. When it's chiming, find the chime and unplug it. Done deal. Pull the fuse or make a device to slide over the door switch when the door is open. A simple piece of metal screwed next to the switch that you can slide over the switch, thus holding it in will work.
I was told that in the Expedition 2004 you can push the belt release button when the chime is going off and that stops it until the door is opened the engine is turned off. Good Luck
Locate the door chime...Locate the 1 bolt that holds the door chime. Pull down the chime.Use a flat screwdriver to release the clip that holds the casing and the plug-in.Remove the plug-in .Now the door chime will not bother you anymore :)
The chime may ring on a 2000 Mazda MVP if a door is open and the keys are not in the ignition because the car has a secondary alarm system that is letting the driver know that a door is ajar. If the door is opened while someone is sitting in the passenger seat it might go off before the person exits the vehicle.
